Employers have referred to me as their "slave" when I was younger which I believe should negate any interest I have in the issue of Blacks and Affirmative Action. Even if they are discriminated against and discrimination is happening even as we speak, being told I'm a slave makes me realize I have to take care of myself and causes me to understand that nobody really cares about me.

Housing at UCSD is also a nightmare. They finally started to offer 2yr guarantee but they need 4yr guarantee like UCLA. UCSD students also lived in their cars and UCSB had homeless students living in parking structures. This all happened in 2021 when students were returning to in person attendance. I just don’t believe that UCSC has the worst housing crisis of all the UCs. The housing situation is bad everywhere and UCSD just built a brand new college (8) for 3,000 more beds. Santa Cruz just needs to allocate more space for housing or stop admitting students that will never find housing.

I think diversity will really help foster different thoughts and discussions on an NBA team. Any chance we can get more Asians on the Knicks? Blacks only constitute 14% of US population but 80% of NBA. I don’t think we should support that kind of bigotry.

Said another way, if you are a student who doesn't have a trust fund and your family isn't already talking about paying for your "starter" home, then stay clear of worthless majors.

My school is SUPER SMALL. Like only about 200 students, clubs are active like once a month (for like 30 minutes) and none of the clubs are rly even impressive. Not to mention they dont have room for you to even make a club and there is no sort of hierarchy in the clubs. So you cannot become a founder or a leader of any sort of club. So for extracurriculars im kinda screwed . My essays skills are also pretty mid so i gotta practice on that as much as i can. And my gpa is INSANELY mid. I have like 2 or 3 C-s throughout my HS career so far and majority of the rest are Bs though some As. Idk my combined gpa but so far for this year (junior year) its a 3.4 s1, 3.5 this semester. And a cumulative gpa of 3.1. So im kinda screwed
